Maintaining an outdoor steel staircase
A Lux Art steel staircase is designed to last. Thanks to a galvanized structure and high-quality RAL finish, it resists harsh weather. Here is how to care for your installation all year.

Integrated protection: the foundation
All our stairs benefit from hot-dip galvanizing which prevents deep corrosion. The RAL powder coating finish (white 9016, black 9005, grey 9006, anthracite 7015 or custom RAL) acts as an extra barrier. This double protection guarantees exceptional resistance against humidity. Our designs avoid water stagnation zones, protecting the steel even in the most rigorous climatic conditions of our regions, ensuring peace of mind and long-term security.
Autumn maintenance routine
Before winter, simple cleaning is enough. Inspect the fixings and clean the treads with mild soapy water to remove dead leaves and debris. Check that water drainage systems are free of any obstruction. A quick check helps preserve the aesthetics of your Lux Art staircase for many years. Avoid abrasive products that could scratch the paint. Minimal maintenance prevents damage and ensures safe use of your staircase in every season.
Salt, snow and small repairs
De-icing salt can be aggressive for outdoor coatings. If you use salt on your terrace, be sure to rinse your staircase with clear water as soon as possible. In case of accidental paint chips, touch them up quickly with suitable RAL paint to avoid localized corrosion. Lux Art remains at your disposal for any questions regarding maintenance or if you need professional expertise on your steel installations.
