Outdoor steel stairs: galvanising, treads and RAL finish
Outdoors, appearance alone is not enough. Water, dirt, frost and daily use influence the structure, treads and finish. These choices should be made together for the specific location.

Why galvanise the structure?
Galvanising protects steel against corrosion before any coloured finish is applied. Lux Art includes this protection for exterior metal stairs. Water drainage and connection details remain equally important: no finish compensates for a design that traps moisture.
Choose treads for the way the stair is used
Grating promotes drainage and gives an open structure. Perforated metal treads combine drainage with a more continuous surface; chequer plate provides another texture. Glass looks lighter. Exposure, traffic, maintenance and model compatibility determine the choice.
Four standard matt colours, or your RAL
Standard options are RAL 9016 white, RAL 9005 black, RAL 9006 grey and RAL 7015 dark grey/anthracite. Another RAL reference can be requested. Samples and the real setting matter because light, façade and planting change colour perception.
