Escaliers intérieurs · Practical advice
What is the budget for a custom interior staircase in Luxembourg?
Investing in a custom staircase is a lasting choice for your home. At Lux Art Dream Design, we design unique pieces combining aesthetics and safety. The budget for such a project varies according to several technical and aesthetic criteria that we detail here to help you prepare your project in Luxembourg or Belgium.
Model and shape dictate the budget
The complexity of the structure is the primary price driver. A straight staircase, simpler to design and install, will generally be more affordable than a quarter-turn or half-turn model. Spiral shapes or central stringer models require more advanced engineering to guarantee stability. Every laser cut and weld is performed with precision in Europe, and the Flexijet 3D measurement ensures a perfect fit for your configuration, avoiding extra costs related to on-site adjustments.
Materials, treads, and finishes
The choice of materials greatly influences the final cost. A powder-coated steel stringer offers exceptional durability. For the treads, wood (oak, ash, beech) adds warmth, but its price varies according to the species and the chosen finish (oiled or matt varnish). Treads can be solid or open. A custom finish in a specific RAL color or special wood treatments to match your existing parquet are options we master perfectly in our Grass showroom, where you can compare samples.
Railing, balustrade, and site access
Do not forget to count the railing (on the stairs) and the balustrade (around the floor opening) separately. The linear footage and style (vertical bars, stainless steel cables, glass) impact the quote. Finally, site accessibility plays a role: a high floor or difficult access requires more labor for installation. To get a precise first estimate, a few photos of the location and approximate dimensions via our two-minute online quote configurator will give you a quick first indication without commitment.
